Huawei today has officially launched its new nova 11 smartphone series in Malaysia. These consist of three variants: standard and Pro, as well as an entry-level nova 11i model. The first two share the same design language and specifications, but with varying display types and different finishes for their respective rear cases.

First, we have the standard Huawei nova 11. This particular model comes with a flat 6.7-inch OLED screen with FHD+ 2412 x 1084 pixel resolution, up to 120Hz refresh rate, and 300Hz touch sampling rate. Unlike its high-end sibling, the phone features flat edges and rear plate, which are offered in Green or Black colours. According to the company, it measures at 161.29 x 74.96 x 6.88 mm, and weighs at around 168g.

Under the hood, the phone is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 4G chipset, an Adreno 642L GPU, 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, and a 4,500mAh battery with 66W fast charging. It also comes with dual SIM card support, a USB-C port, as well as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2 and NFC wireless connectivity.

In terms of imaging, featured on the back of the standard nova 11 is a dual camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary and an 8MP ultra-wide macro. Meanwhile, housed within the display’s punch-hole cutout is an impressive 60MP ultra-wide front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

Huawei nova 11 Pro

Next up is the Huawei nova 11 Pro, which has a slightly larger 6.78-inch curved OLED display with FHD+ 2652 x 1200 pixel resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, and 300Hz touch sampling rate. To compliment its screen, this variant comes with a curved rear case and thinner frames, and is also offered in either green or black colours. Additionally, it measures at 164.24 x 74.35 x 7.88 mm, and weighs in at approximately 188g.

Internally, the Pro pretty much shares the same specifications as the vanilla model for its chipset, memory configurations and onboard imaging systems. The few differences include its battery’s faster charging rate of 100W, and the addition of an 8MP portrait camera alongside its 60MP selfie camera – both of which are housed in a pill-shaped cutout on the device’s display.

Lastly, we have the entry-level nova 11i, which also comes with a completely different design for its rear camera layout when compared to its siblings. It’s also worth noting that this particular model is also the largest in the series thanks to its slightly bigger 6.8-inch flat LCD display, which has a resolution of 1080 × 2388 pixels, 90Hz refresh rate, and 270Hz touch sampling rate. For measurements, the phone comes in at 164.6 x 75.55 x 8.55 mm and weighs at 193g.

On the inside, the Huawei nova 11i is equipped with a Snapdragon 680 chipset, 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, and a larger 5,000mAh battery with 40W fast charging via USB-C. There’s also dual SIM card support, as well as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, but no NFC.

The all-new Huawei nova 11 Series is slated to be available nationwide starting 7 July 2023 via the brand’s Experience Stores, official website, as well as its official online stores on Shopee and Lazada. The vanilla variant is priced at RM2,199, the Pro model at RM2,599, while the entry-level nova 11i will retail at RM1,299.
