Acer has announced the refresh of its TravelMate lineup of laptops. In addition to its mobile work credentials, it is also a part of the company’s post-consumer recyclable (PCR) initiative. The refreshed lineup consists of three main devices – the TravelMate P2, P4 and P6, each with variants of their own.

Starting with the Acer TravelMate P2, this comes in P214 and P216 variants, indicating their 14-inch and 16-inch display, respectively. Whichever the size you prefer, these now come in the 16:10 aspect ratio, with a 1,920 x 1,200 resolution. For its processor, they can be equipped with up to an Intel Core i5-1335U, which can be accompanied with 8GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of NVMe PCIe SSD storage. To ensure portability, the Acer TravelMate P214 weighs in at 1.6kg, while the P216 weighs 1.87kg.

Moving on to the Acer TravelMate P4, this line consists of the base model TravelMate P414, and the TravelMate Spin P414. As the name suggests, the latter is a transformable, letting you flip the screen over to the back and use it as a tablet, and all the other configurations in between. This also means that it is slightly better armed in general, but first lets go over what they have in common. This includes the familiar 14-inch 16:10 1,920 x 1,200 screen, as well as the 512GB of SD storage.

Naturally, the Spin model gets a touchscreen for use in its tent and tablet modes. For their processors, the base model comes with an Intel Core i5-1335U, while the Spin model gets an Intel Core i71355U. It’s a similar story for RAM, with the base and Spin models getting 8GB and 16GB, respectively.
