HONOR today has officially launched several new products for our market with one of them being the company’s new mid-range 5G phone, the HONOR 70. Even though there are actually three models within the HONOR 70 Series including the Pro and Pro+ variants, only the standard model made its Malaysian debut today.
Equipped with a 6.67-inch OLED display that has native Full HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage, and curved edges, the new phone is running on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ processor. Pre-installed with Magic UI 6.1 on top of its Android 12 operating system, the Malaysian specs come with 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage.
For photography, the HONOR 70 relies on the 54MP Sony IMX800 sensor and f/1.9 lens that was equipped with its main camera. The company was quick to highlight that this phone is the first to feature the sensor and touted the fact that the 1/1.49-inch sensor is way larger than many flagship phones out there including iPhone 13, Samsung Galaxy S22+, and OPPO Find X5 Pro.
In addition to that, the rear camera module also contained a 2MP f/2.4 depth camera as well as 50MP ultra-wide camera with an f/2.2 lens that can also be used for macro photography at a distance as close as 2.5cm. When it comes to selfies, the job is handled by a 32MP f/2.4 punch-hole camera that is located on the top centre part of the HONOR 70’s screen.
Completing the phone’s general specifications is a 4800mAh battery which apparently able to provide all-day battery life for the phone although the specific battery life was not mentioned by the company. The HONOR 70 is also accompanied by a 66W SuperCharge charger that allows the phone to regain 60% of its capacity with just 20 minutes of charging time.
Available in Crystal Silver, Emerald Green, and Midnight Black, the HONOR 70 can now be pre-ordered for RM1,999 starting from today onwards at 9:30 PM via HONOR Malaysia’s online store together with its official Lazada and Shopee stores. Also available through HONOR Stores and various dealers across Malaysia, early adopters will be provided with a free HONOR Earbuds 2 Lite, an HONOR phone case, and 1-year of extended warranty.
