realme today has officially launched two new products in Malaysia, namely the realme 9 mid-range smartphone and the realme Pad Mini. As you may recall, both devices were announced separately by the company for the local market last week.
Firstly, we have the realme 9. To recap, the phone features a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with 1080 x 2400 pixel resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It also comes with an under-display fingerprint sensor, Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity, dual nano SIM support, Android 12 via realme UI 3.0, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Under its hood is a Snapdragon 680 chipset, along with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Powering the phone is a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging via USB-C.
Besides that, the realme 9 features a triple camera setup on its back, which consists of a 108MP primary shooter (the first to feature Samsung’s ISOCELL HM6 sensor), an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro sensor. Meanwhile, housed within the punch-hole cutout on its display is a 16MP selfie camera. As for colour options, the phone is offered in either Sunburst Gold, Stargaze White, or Meteor Black.
Next up is the newly released Mini variant of the realme Pad. The tablet comes with a 8.7-inch IPS LCD display with 1340 x 800 pixel resolution, a facial scanner for user authentication, Bluetooth connectivity, Android 11, stereo speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a choice of either LTE + WiFi or WiFi only configurations.
It is also equipped with a Unisoc Tiger T616 chipset, which is paired together with up to 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB of internal storage, and is powered by a 6,400 mAh battery with 18W fast charging via USB-C. On the tablet’s back is a lone 8MP main camera, while housed in its display’s upper bezel is a 5MP selfie camera.
