TNG RFID Fuelling Pilot Programme Coming Soon To Selected Shell Stations In Klang Valley

Last February, Touch ‘n Go (TNG) laid down the future roadmap of the TNG RFID tag part of the company’s plan to expand the role of the TNG RFID tag for other purposes. Among them is petrol refuelling which was supposed to take place in Q4 2020 with having signed a memorandum-of-understanding with Shell for this.

We haven’t heard much after that though but as it turned out, TNG and Shell are finally ready to get things rolling again. It has come to our attention that TNG has begun offering participation slots for the TNG Refuelling Pilot Programme to selected customers.

According to a screenshot of the e-mail that was sent to us by an anonymous tipster, which has since made its way to Lowyat.NET Forums as well, the pilot programme is taking place at five Shell Stations in Klang Valley including Bandar Sri Menjalara, Mint Hotel, NKVE Damansara, Taman Connaught, and Taman Tun Dr Ismail.

As you can see in the top image, participants will be provided with up to RM 20 TNG eWallet credit. However, the screenshot that we received didn’t mention how customers can sign-up for the pilot programme.

While we are reaching out to TNG Digital to find out more information about this pilot programme, you may have been offered a spot yourself if you are a TNG RFID user. So, do check out your inbox and see whether that is the case.

(Thank you for the tips, anon!)
