Illegear is more known for its gaming laptops but the company does have productivity-oriented laptops under its wings as well. Positioned under the IONIC series, the family today received a new family member in the form of the IONIC Touch.
Said to be designed in collaboration with Intel, the new IONIC Touch is also Illegear’s first-ever laptop with a touch display. Featuring a chassis made from aluminium, the new laptop also comes with a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS panel that has sRGB colour gamut coverage of 100 per cent and a maximum brightness of 450nits.
IONIC Touch can be obtained with two processor options including the Intel Core i5-1135G7 and Core i7-1165G7. User’s choice of processor will affect their RAM as well since Illegear has provided the Core i5 model with 8GB of RAM while the Core i7 variant is provided with 16GB of RAM.
The 1.66kg laptop does come standard with a 500GB PCIe NVMe M.2 solid state drive but customers can choose to equip the IONIC Touch with up to 2TB Samsung PM981 SSD if they prefer. Price-wise, the IONIC Touch with Core i5 starts at RM 4,899 while the Core i7 model goes from RM 5,699 onwards.
