Twitter earlier today made an announcement that the company is testing a new way for users to follow other accounts on its platform. According to a tweet from the Twitter Support account, the new Suggested Follows feature is currently being tested on Android devices.

In terms of how the new feature works, the tweet explains that users will now be presented with suggestions to follow relevant accounts that are based on the profile page of someone they have just followed on Twitter. In addition to this, users will be able to add all accounts instantly with a single tap while also be provided with the option to remove individual accounts that they do not wish to follow.

Based on a statement from the Twitter Help Center, the company has mentioned that account suggestions are based on many factors which include some coming from a user’s address book contacts and patterns from their following history. Twitter’s suggestions are usually generated by algorithms which explains why certain suggested accounts may not be relevant to a user.

While the Suggested Follows feature is currently being tested on Android devices as mentioned earlier, Twitter has yet to provide any indication if the aforementioned feature will also be implemented on iOS devices. That being said, we can only remain patient until the company releases more information regarding this new feature.
