Maxis is celebrating its 25th anniversary, in conjunction with the upcoming Merdeka celebrations. As part of this, the telco has announced a number of promotions, which range from app rewards worth up to RM25000, to selling phones for as low as RM25.

For the first one, Maxis has a wide range of promotions that can be redeemed from its mobile app. This applies to the Hotlink app as well. These promotions range from 25% off domestic flights with Malaysia Airlines and its subsidiary Firefly. There are also RM25 vouchers to be redeemed when shopping with Tesco online, as well as up to RM80 discounts when shopping on Lazada. These deals are valid from 18 August to 18 September this year.

For Hotlink prepaid customers, Maxis is also giving away 25GB of extra mobile data with the purchase of valid HotlinkMU passes. The telco says this promotion lasts from 20 August to 16 September, but it is already visible on the Hotlink mobile app.

And finally, Maxis also has what it calls the RM25 smartphone promo. As part of this, the telco is offering a range of new phones, like the Samsung Galaxy Note20 5G, the Huawei P40, and the iPhone 11, for as low as RM25. Though this is only for Maxis Postpaid, Maxis Fibre, Hotlink Postpaid and Hotlink Postpaid & Fibre subscribers. This promotion lasts from 25 August to 18 September, but the telco has been light on details regarding the full list of phones on offer, as well as any other applicable terms and conditions.

In conjunction with its 25-year anniversary, Maxis has also announced a number of initiatives as part of its new “Always be Ahead” tagline. These are meant to help consumers and businesses alike adopt the skills needed in a digital environment. You can head over to Maxis’ website to find out more about these initiatives, as well as the promotions mentioned above.
