HONOR today has launched yet another new phone under its wings called HONOR 9A. Interesting enough, the company has chosen Malaysia as one of the launch markets for the budget-oriented phone.
As opposed to some of HONOR’s recent models such as 9X, 9X Pro, and 9X Lite, the new 9A carries a MediaTek Helio P22 MT6762R processor instead of a Kirin chip. Despite having a processor from 2018, it seems that the 9A does note support Google Mobile Services and is relying on Huawei AppGallery as its app depository.
The 9A is also equipped with a 6.3-inch 720p LTPS display alongside 3GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. On its back, HONOR has provided the phone with a 13MP main camera which is being accompanied by a 5MP ultra-wide and 2MP depth cameras in addition to an 8MP selfie camera that is housed on the phone’s teardrop display notch.
Another main attraction for the pocket-friendly 9A is its massive 5000mAh battery that can deliver up to 32 hours of video playback and 36 hours of 4G calls. Priced at RM 549, the new HONOR 9A will be available for purchase through HONOR Malaysia’s official website as well as its official store on Shopee and Lazada starting from 26 June onwards.
