Astro today has announced that it has partnered together with Allo to deliver Astro & Broadband bundle to areas that are covered by the broadband company. In case you not familiar with Allo, it is a subsidiary of Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) that is overseeing the company’s fibre effort which is now being expanded throughout the country to support the National Fiberisation and Connectivity Plan (NFCP).

Truth to be told, Astro and Allo has previously collaborated for the NFCP pilot project in Jasin back in January 2019. With today’s announcement, Astro & Broadband bundle will be made available in more areas as Allo expand its coverage in months to come.

In today’s joint press statement, the Group CEO of Astro, Henry Tan revealed that the partnership with Allo will expand the availability of Astro & Broadband bundle to more than 150,000 new households and businesses in the next 18 months.  The CEO of Allo, Rodzi Ahmad has also stated that the company is expanding its fibre reach in Melaka, Perak, Johor, Kedah, Selangor, and Pulau Pinang.

While this partnership allows Astro to offer broadband bundle with speed of up to 1Gbps in areas that covered by Allo, only 50Mbps and 100Mbps bundles are available at this moment. These bundles which include Astro Family Pack are currently priced at RM 99 and RM 129 respectively, with higher speed packages will be announced at a later date.

Based on our quick check, Allo currently covers selected areas within Cyberjaya and Bangsar South as well as Jasin, and Alor Gajah in Melaka. Nevertheless, in case you are wondering about the Astro & Broadband bundle for areas under Allo, you can reach out to Astro’s customer service by calling 03-9543 3838 for further clarifications.
