Illegear has added two new gaming laptops to its portfolio. These notebooks are the Onyx V and Onyx G and both portable machines are fitted with the latest 10th generation H-Series Intel Core CPUs, as well as NVIDIA’s new GeForce RTX series discrete GPUs.
Specifically, the Onyx G runs on a Core i7-10875H, while the Onyx V is fitted with the Core i7-10750H. Both models also sport a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS INFIVISION technology, plus a choice between 144Hz or 240Hz refresh rate.
For its discrete GPU, the notebooks can be fitted with either GeForce RTX 2060 or RTX 2070, but it’s the option of having an RTX 2070 Super that’s really the highlight here. Especially if you’re looking for a boost in the gaming department. The battery sizes are different too, with the Onyx V housing a 47Wh battery and the Onyx G with a larger 92Wh battery.
On a side note, Illegear doesn’t state the base amount of RAM for either laptop, but like all its other notebooks, the Onyx V and Onyx G can be fitted with up to 64GB DDR4 RAM. Oh, and both devices come with dual M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD slots. They’re not very heavy either, with the Onyx V weighing at 1.87kg and the Onyx G at 2.1kg.
