Razer has made Pokemon (read: Pikachu)-themed peripherals before, and now it’s making true wireless earbuds with the theme too. The company announced the product on its Weibo page, which may be an indication about its availability.
While not stated explicitly, the true wireless earbuds in question appear to be the Razer Hammerhead. Nearly every item on its spec sheet also seem to match, from the 13mm drivers, to its Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. There’s some discrepancy in terms of battery life, with this one being three hours instead of the usual Hammerhead’s four. That said, the carrying case still gives the wireless buds an additional 12 hours of listening time.
Speaking of the carrying case, this is easily the standout feature of the Pikachu-themed Razer Hammerhead. While it’s nice that the earbuds themselves are yellow with the Pikachu print, the carrying case is modeled after a Poke Ball. This makes it an accessory for hardcore fans to role-play. The iconic look aside, it functions exactly the same as the standard Hammerhead charging case.
The Pokemon-themed Razer Hammerhead true wireless earbuds is priced at RMB999 (~RM613). If you know someone in China, you could get them to buy it for you on Tmall. If you’re looking to get it outside of the country, the you’ll likely be out of luck. As with the oter Pokemon-themed peripherals, this looks to be an exclusive to the country,
