Travelling these days is not necessarily the best of things to do, what with COVID-19 recently being declared a global pandemic. It’s also not very convenient, with a fair number of restrictions already in place. Recognising this, Malaysia Airlines has announced what it calls the Ultimate Flexibility ticket change policy.

To put it simply, this allows you to change your flight date and destination for an unlimited number of times. You can also book an earlier flight on the same day at no extra cost. But, as you’d expect, there are conditions for each of this.

Malaysia Airlines say that this Unlimited Flexibility perk only applies to flights booked on 31 March 2020 or earlier. Any rebooking of flights, on the other hand, must be done by 31 May, while the travel dates must be on or before 31 December. That last one is also based on seat availability, with fare differences coming into play as well. Shifting your flight to an earlier one in the day is also only valid for travel between 13 March and 21 May.

Finally, and probably most importantly, you’ll have to make your rebookings via certain channels only. These are the Malaysia Airlines Ticket Office, its Global Contact Centre, or appointed agents. You can find out more about the Malaysia Airlines Ultimate Flexibility offer on its website, linked below.
