Back in CES 2020, ASUS showcased the ExpertBook B9450. The brand has since shared more information about the laptop that’s targeted at those who work on the go. And overall, it seems like almost the perfect notebook for that purpose.
At its lightest, the ASUS ExpertBook B9450 weighs as little as 870g on average. This amazingly low weight is achieved by using a new kind of material for its body, which is Magnesium Lithium alloy. This makes it both lighter and stronger than traditional aluminum and magnesium alloys.
Beyond the weight, it also boasts very impressive battery life, at least according to the company’s claims. One of the ASUS ExpertBook B9450 configurations come with a 33Wh battery, which lasts for up to 13 hours. There’s also the option to get a model with a 66Wh battery instead. This pushes its weight up to 995g, but gives it up to 24 hours of battery life.
Beyond these two, the ASUS ExpertBook B9450 comes with a 14-inch Full HD IPS display, up to an Intel Core i7-10510 processor, up to 16GB of LDDR3 RAM, and two M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0×4 slots for up to 2TB of SSD storage. It also comes with the NumberPad touchpad, much like what you’ll find on the company’s ZenBooks 13 and 14.
When prompted, ASUS says it doesn’t have any pricing or availability details. Representatives for ASUS Malaysia say that it’s definitely making its way to our shores, but they don’t have any of the specific details yet themselves.
