Lazada announced that it will be holding its inaugural Mid-Year Festival sale event. It will start on 12 July 2019 at midnight, with prices getting slashed by up to 50%. The e-commerce platform is also introducing new in-app features sthat you can use in conjunction with this sale event.
Building up to this Mid-Year Festival sale, Lazada also has livestreamed games shows which it calls Guess It on the Lazada app. These games take place six times a day, from 1-12 July. Specifically, there will be a round at 12 PM, 1 PM, 7 PM, 8 PM, 9 PM and 12 PM. The name of the game itself pretty much explains the game, but essentially all you need to do during the Guess It game is to guess the item on display and its approximate price.
In addition to that, there’s also a feature that lets you reserve the item you want to buy during the Mid-Year Festival sale. The feature is called Chup Dulu, which lets you reserve reserve the item you want by paying a non-refundable deposit through the Lazada app. You have to do so before 11 July to ensure you get the item you want.
And finally, the Mid-Year Festival sale ensures that prices of selected items on LazMall will be the lowest there is, with the Lowest Price Guarantee. Lazada is quite confident about this as well, claiming that if you find the item in stock on another online store, and with a non-promotional price that’s lower than what Lazada offers, then it will pay you twice the difference.
These new features though are only available for this campaign. That said, Lazada will be monitoring their popularity among users. If they’re well received enough, then they could return in future campaigns or even be permanent additions to the e-commerce platform.
