Other than its P30 and P30 Pro, Huawei also revealed two new smartwatches during its launch event – the Huawei Watch GT Active and Huawei GT Elegant. The Watch GT Active is almost identical to the original Huawei Watch GT, but with some minor tweaks to the body.
For starters, the Active version features the same 46mm watch face as the original. It sports a 1.39-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 454 x 454. On the other hand, the Elegant variant is slightly smaller with a 42mm ceramic bezel option and a 1.2-inch AMOLED display at a resolution of 390 x 390.
Huawei claims that the Active version will have an estimated of 2-week battery life. To achieve this, you can only turn on the heart-rate monitor for 90 minutes each week, otherwise, you will have to charge your smartwatch on a weekly basis.
The Watch GT Active and GT Elegant will come with a variety of watch faces and different watch bands. Specifically, the bands for the Active version will be available in orange and dark green, while the Elegant version will have the more solid colours of black and white.
Huawei announced that the Watch GT Active will be retailing at €249 (~RM1143) and the Watch GT Elegant at €229 (~RM1051). At the time of writing, Huawei Malaysia did not provide a local release date or official pricing for the wearables.
