Few weeks after U Mobile revealed that Razer Phone 2 is coming to Malaysia, we have finally received some update on the arrival of the gaming phone into our market. Thanks to a media invite that landed into our inbox recently, we now finally know the launch date of the phone in Malaysia.
According to the invite from Razer, the company will be officially unveiling Razer Phone 2 in Malaysia on 15 January 2019. Now, do note that this doesn’t necessarily mean that the phone will be available in our market on the same day though.
Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, the Razer Phone 2 is equipped with a 5.72-inch QHD IGZO 120Hz display alongside 8GB of RAM, 64GB internal storage. The IP67-certified phone with a glass back also comes with a 12MP f/1.75 wide-angle camera and 12MP f/2.6 telephoto camera.
On its front is an 8MP f/2.0 camera while the phone also features a pair of front-firing speakers with support for Dolby Atmos. A 4000 mAh completes the general specifications of Razer Phone 2 which also supports Qualcomm QuickCharge 4.0+ tech.
In the United States, the Razer Phone 2 is priced at USD 799.99 (about RM 3277) which made us wonder how much it will cost over here. Given that price tag, we don’t expect it to be far off anyway.
