Alongside the local availability of the Galaxy Tab S4, Samsung also launched the Galaxy Tab A 10.5 in Malaysia. Where the Galaxy Tab S4 features some top-of-the-line hardware, the Tab A 10.5 is aimed at more budget conscious consumers who seek a simply and functional tablet.
Specs-wise, the Galaxy Tab A 10.5 has a display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and a native resolution of 1920 x 1200. The tablet is also powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC, 3GB RAM, and the same 7300mAh battery that powers up the Galaxy Tab S4. For storage, only the 32GB expandable storage variant will be available in Malaysia.
Of course, the Galaxy Tab A 10.5 is not without its appeal as an entertainment device. Like its more premium counterpart, the tablet also comes built with four speakers that have been enhanced with Dolby Atmos technology. Ports-wise, the tablet houses a USB Type-C port, which supports Fast charging. Lastly, the Galaxy Tab A 10.5 also comes with an 8MP main camera and a 5MP front-facing camera.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 is already available at all Samsung Experience stores and authorised resellers, and is retailing at an SRP of RM1699. To celebrate its launch, consumers who purchase the tablet during the period from 21 September to 31 October 2018 will receive a complimentary battery pack with every purchase of the tablet, while stocks last.
