In conjunction with the upcoming Hari Raya celebration, Apple is releasing a Raya-themed short film on Apple Music. Featuring Malaysian artistes Faizal Tahir and Aziz Harun, the film – titled Setitis Cahaya di Pagi Raya – is shot by Malaysian filmmaker Edmund Yeo.
The eight-minute long film details the daily life of a family living in rural Malaysia, and how they prepare for the Hari Raya celebration. Yeo noted that he wanted to make the short film to not just to show the family’s plight, but also of their courage and generosity. Naturally, the whole film is shot on an iPhone X too.
The short film will be available exclusively on Apple Music until 15 June at 7PM. After that, it will be posted on Warner Music Malaysia’s YouTube channel. Those with an Apple Music subscription can watch the full length video right here.
