In conjunction with the official launch of Intel’s new Coffee Lake-H CPUs, Biostar has announced two new motherboards under its Racing line – The B360GT5S and B360GT3S. As implied, the new motherboards are designed to accommodate Intel’s new processors.
To specify, the B360GT5S comes in the standard ATX size, while the B360GT3S is a micro-ATX motherboard. Both motherboards feature an all-black PCB design and support dual-channel DDR4 memory at up to 2666MHz, but (naturally) can be OC’d.
The differences between the model begins with the power phase design; The B360GT5S uses an 11-phase power design, while the B360GT3S only has a 7-phase power design. The B360GT5S also has three PCIe 3.0 x16 slots, while the micro-ATX form factor of the B360GT3S only allows up to two PCIe 3.0 x16 slots. Beyond that, both boards will have two M.2 SSD slots rated for 32GB/s and integrated USB 3.1 Type-C Gen 2 support.
The story’s the same for the rear I/Os of both motherboards; The B360GT5S and B360GT3S will come with a legacy PS/2 port, two USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, one USB 3.1 Type-A and Type-C port, a HDMI 1.4b output, a dual-link DVI, one VGA port, an RJ-45 LAN, and lastly, a 6x audio connector hub.
Both the Biostar B360GT5S and B360GT3S will be priced at US$109.90 (~RM425) and US$94.90 (~RM367), respectively. At the time of writing, Biostar had yet to mention when and if these motherboards will arriving in Malaysia.
