Sega’s lovable blue mascot Sonic The Hedgehog will apparently receive his own shoes from Puma later this year. This was revealed during an official panel at SXSW 2018 last week which also saw the confirmation of Sonic Mania Plus package and a preview of Sonic Mania Adventures new animated shorts as well as a teaser for what might be a new Sonic Racing game.
However, the exact detail behind the design of the upcoming shoes which is called Puma x Sega RS-0 Sonic is still a secret at the moment. Even though the design has been masked inside the teaser video, it is quite clear that the shoes will at least include color scheme that is related to Sonic’s universe.
In general, collaborations between video game companies and shoe companies are not as rare as you might have thought. Aside from this upcoming Sonic x Puma release, some examples of such collaborative products include the Nike PlayStation 4 basketball shoes as well as the Vans x Nintendo collection.
Whether Puma will release the upcoming Sonic shoes in Malaysia is not yet known at the moment but nevertheless, we’ll keep you updated once we heard any updates for the company.
