Energizer is playing to its own strengths with the upcoming Power Max P16K Pro. The smartphone is set to ship with a battery far larger than anything else out on the market, by at least one order of magnitude.
The Power Max 16K Pro has somewhat mid-range specifications. It will be powered by the MediaTek Helio P25 chipset, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The screen will be a 5.99-inch 2,160 x 1,080 pixel touchscreen, with a 13 MP / 5MP dual sensor combo on the rear and a 8 MP sensor on the front.
The main feature of the Power Max P16K Pro is the huge 16,000mAh battery. That is roughly three to four times more capacity than any other smartphone in the market currently.
Energizer has promised that the smartphone will have “an ultra slim design” too but we doubt how thin it can go, especially with the large battery inside. The Energizer Power Max P16K Pro will go on display at MWC 2018 in Barcelona, but no sales and availability announcements have been made thus far.
