Google Assistant is officially heading to older devices. Google has announced that it is bringing the AI assistant to devices running Android 5.0 Lollipop; with the update already rolling out in some regions.

Smartphones with languages set to English in the US, UK, India, Australia, Canada, and Singapore, as well as in Spanish in the US, Mexico, and Spain will receive an invisible update to activate the feature. Users then can just opt-in and the phrase “Hey Google” will be part and parcel their mobile experience.

Meanwhile, tablets will also receive the Google Assistant update. This only applies to devices to the US at the moment, and then only for those set to run in English. There’s no news about other languages or locations just yet.
