Gigabyte Debuts The GTX 1080 Ti Aorus WaterForce WB Extreme Edition 11G

Gigabyte has unveiled its brand new graphics card in the form of a custom, liquid-cooled GTX 1080 Ti. Interestingly, the company’s newest graphics card comes with a really long name: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Aorus Waterforce WB Extreme Edition 11G; or GV-N108TAORUSXWB-11GB for short.

Its “colourful” naming scheme aside, the GTX 1080 Ti Aorus Waterforce WB Extreme Edition does come with several neat features too. It’s worth noting, however, that unlike previous Waterforce-branded graphics cards, the GTX 1080 Ti Aorus Waterforce WB Extreme Edition doesn’t come with an AIO (all-in-one) cooler. It’s fitted with a dedicated water block instead.

That aside, the new custom GTX 1080 Ti graphics card from Gigabyte actually looks rather good in terms of design. Its water block in particular is endowed with not only Aorus’ “bicep eagle” logo, but LED lighting as well. Gigabyte was also kind enough to equip the graphics card with a backplate as well.

When it comes to performance, the GTX 1080 Ti Aorus Waterforce WB Extreme Edition boasts base and boost clock speeds of 1632MHz and 1746MHz respectively. Meanwhile, the memory clock is rated at 11232MHz.

These clock speeds, combined with the graphics card’s thermal performance superiority means that it may just be one of the fastest custom GTX 1080 Ti in the market when it’s released. Speaking of which, the release date and pricing for Gigabyte’s GTX 1080 Ti Aorus Waterforce WB Extreme Edition was not mentioned – but it will most definitely cost a fortune.
