The Elysium Dot Lofree Wireless Mechanical Keyboard, a mechanical keyboard designed to look like a retro typewriter, has finally made its way to Malaysia. The keyboard started as an Indiegogo campaign, where it achieved a total of $712,468 in crowdfunding – a staggering 6602% surplus from its original funding target.

The Elysium Dot Lofree is a wireless mechanical keyboard that is inspired by old-fashioned typewriters, but consists of the makings of a modern-day mechanical keyboard. The keyboard features Gateron Blue switches, coupled with PC and ABT keycaps.

In terms of connectivity, the Elysium Dot Lofree uses Bluetooth 4.0 and is capable of connecting to multiple devices and platforms. You can connect up to three devices running on Windows, Android, iOS, or MacOS, and easily switch between the three devices with a simple FN key combo.

Powering the device is a 4,000mAh battery, with a battery life of anywhere between one week to six months, depending on the backlight intensity. It charges via micro USB, and the same port will be used for when you wish to use the keyboard in wired mode. The Elysium Dot Lofree also comes with backlighting (white LEDs, individually-lit), and has three different brightness levels.

The Elysium Dot Lofree is now available in Malaysia via Lazada, but it doesn’t come cheap. The keyboard retails at RM449 for the off white and red models, while the white, black, green, grey, as well as pink will retails for RM100 extra at RM549. To learn more about the keyboard, check out its product page on Lazada here.

Stay tuned for our review of the Elysium Dot Lofree wireless mechanical keyboard, coming very soon!
