The Monster Hunter series is coming to all major gaming platforms, although it doesn’t quite look like any other game in the series. Monster Hunter World was revealed at PlayStation’s event at E3, with Capcom later tweeting about the other platforms.
There’s not much known about the title other than it will be arriving in early 2018. The reveal trailer shows gameplay that’s quite unlike anything seen in other Monster Hunter titles; including tracking monsters, sneaking around smaller creatures, and swinging from terrain using a grappling hook.
At the very least, it looks like the game will still have players hunting giant monsters. With at least the Rathalos and Rathian making a return to the title. Aside from that, it looks like Capcom has an entirely new design in mind for Monster Hunter World.
Still, there’s quite a bit to be excited about. And at least this isn’t a western port of Monster Hunter Online. On the other hand, it looks like the PC version of Monster Hunter World will be released some time after it appears on consoles.
