Grab has expanded into four new cities in Malaysia, and now serves customers in Ipoh, Kuantan, Kuching, and Seremban. The ridesharing service was also careful to point out that this covers the districts of Nilai and Port Dickson.
This brings the number of cities covered by Grab up to nine. Last year saw expansions into Penang, Johor Bahru, Malacca and Kota Kinabalu. We’re expecting a more aggressive expansion strategy from Grab this year, considering that it has already equaled the number of new cities from 2016 in three months.
As is usually the case, Grab is offering promo codes in the new cities. Customers in Ipoh, Kuantan, Kuching, and Seremban can use the code HIGRAB5 to get an RM5 discount on 10 rides. This promotion runs until the end of March 2017.
