Celcom has unveiled Malaysia’s largest mobile game tournament. Called “Celcom Game Hero”, the tournament is only open to Celcom customers, and the company will be giving out RM1 million prize money for those brave enough to take up the challenge.
As the Celcom Game Hero mobile game tournament is a subscription-based game, new Celcom customers can subscribe for free until the 6th of April 2017. After that, they, along with existing Celcom customers, will have to pay the subscription fee of RM3/week. Do take note that Celcom customers will need to enable their 3G/4G mobile data to be able to register for a Celcom Game Hero account and upload game scores to the scoreboard.
Developed by Techninier, the game “Sky Invasion 3D” will be the focus of this round of the tournament. Celcom Game Hero subscribers can play the game over the next four months to get the highest score and there will be prize money along the way.
Apart from the RM1 million prize money, there are also Xpax reloads ranging from RM50, RM100, and RM200 to be won. These reloads can be found in “War Chests”, where players come back to the game daily and use GEMS to unlock the War Chests.
GEMS are the in-game currency for Sky Invasion 3D. When you log in to the game, you will gain 2 free GEMs every 24 hours. Another way to obtain GEMs is to purchase them for the price listed below:
- Small Pack – 4 GEMs – RM3.90
- Medium Pack – 9 GEMs – RM7.90
- Big Pack – 20 GEMs – RM16.90
- Bronze Pack – 40 GEMs – RM29.90
- Silver Pack – 60 GEMs – RM39.90
That being said, Celcom Game Hero subscribers should take note that the monthly purchase limit of GEMs is capped at RM200.
GEMs can also be used to continue gameplay if you lose. However, the number of GEMs required to continue playing increases based on the game level you’re in.

As for the prizes, Celcom is offering RM250,000 to the grand prize winner, while the second and third place winner will take home RM150,000 and RM100,000 respectively. The full list of prize distribution is as follows:
