Corsair recently announced its newest mid-tower ATX case at CES 2016, which is refreshing since PC cases aren’t the most talked about hardware at CES this year. Unsurprisingly, the Spec-Alpha mid-tower ATX case is primarily aimed at PC enthusiasts as well as gamers. The Spec-Alpha case is the newest addition to Corsair’s Carbide PC case family.
Interestingly, the Spec-Alpha case comes in two colour options: black and silver or red and white. Noticeably, the mid-tower case boast a unique angular design, which is enough to attract a lot of attention from gamers and PC enthusiasts. Despite the unique design, the Spec-Alpha case has a spacious interior with adequate cooling features as well. It’s worth mentioning that due to the design of the case, the optical drive bay is non-existent.
Additionally, the Spec-Alpha comes with three 120mm fans, two of them being front-facing and LED-lit. Besides that, the PC case includes USB 3.0 and is able to accommodate up to four SSDs; Corsair eliminated the bulky and unnecessary drive cage that usually comes with most PC cases. This enables the Spec-Alpha case to have better cooling for the CPU as well as the GPU. Aside from that, Corsair mentioned that the Spec-Alpha case also supports 240mm radiators for those that want a liquid-cooled system.
Aside from the Spec-Alpha, Corsair has also unveiled two other PC cases: Carbide 400C and 400Q, which are pictured above. The retail price for the Spec-Alpha case will be US$80 (about RM345). The PC case will be available worldwide via Corsair’s retailers in early March 2016. Further details regarding the PC case can be found on Corsair’s website.
