The iPad Mini 4 makes its official debut in the Maxis Online Store, but it will only be available for purchase with the SurfMore 50 plan. Customers can only purchase the tablet under a 24 month contract, and a RM300 advance payment for the device is also required.
SurfMore 50 has a monthly commitment fee of RM50, and it comes with 2GB of mobile data. There are three variants of the iPad Mini 4 – 16GB, 64GB and 128GB on offer from Maxis, and they can be purchased for RM1,616, RM1,968, and RM2,366 respectively (not inclusive of 6% GST).
The iPad Mini 4 has a 7.9-inch Retina display with an anti-reflective coating on the surface. Under the hood, it runs on a 64-bit second generation A8 chip paired with 2GB of RAM. Round the back is an 8MP iSight camera, with a 1.2MP HD camera on the front for FaceTime.
Connectivity wise, the iPad Mini 4 features LTE support, Bluetooth 4.0, and dual-band ac Wi-Fi. Not only that, the tablet has a 5,124mAh battery which promises up to 10 hours of battery life. Like the iPad Air 2, Apple has also included a TouchID fingerprint sensor in the iPad Mini 4.
The iPad Mini 4 is available in both silver and space grey. As of this writing, the silver iPad Mini 4 is available in all three storage sizes, while the space grey model is only available in 64GB.
