While we have discussed what the graphics card has to offer through our full review, here is what you basically need to know about the GIGABYTE GTX 950 Xtreme Gaming graphics card: it is currently the most powerful GeForce GTX 950 within the company’s line-up. Built with an NVIDIA GM206 GPU chip that is said to be specially selected through the company’s GPU Gauntlet sorting process, it comes with a base clock speed of 1,203 MHz and a boost speed of 1,405 MHz, both of which are faster than NVIDIA’s reference design.
It is equipped with 2GB of GDDR5 memory that runs at 7000 MHz which is again, faster than NVIDIA reference GTX 950. Other than that, the graphics card also comes with the company’s own Windforce 2X thermal solution that features two fans, copper heat-pipes and metal back plate. Additionally, Gigabyte has also included two separate LED indicators that allows users to easily identify the operational status of the card’s dynamic fans.
Not to forget, users are also able to choose from a selection of colors and light effects for the LED indicators through the GIGABYTE OC GURU II overclocking software. Finally, Gigabyte has also ensured the card is durable enough by having its circuit board protected from moisture, corrosion, and dust through a breathable aerospace-grade coating alongside the usage of components that meet the company’s Ultra Durable VGA standards.
