Sony has revealed more details on its upcoming VR headset, Project Morpheus at Game Developers Conference 2015. Among the specifications that have been announced is an OLED display and a refresh rate of 120 fps, which is quite an impressive feat; assuming Project Morpheus actually delivers that kind of frame rate when it is launched.
The current prototype of Project Morpheus does not differ that much when it was announced back in 2014, at least, in terms of design. Hardware wise, the prototype has a 5.7-inch 1920 x 1080 RGB OLED display, a 120hz refresh rate, a 100 degree field of view, and nine LED trackers that can provide 360 degree tracking. However, seeing as how this is still just a prototype, the final specifications might be different.
While an OLED display and a 120hz refresh rate are quite impressive, one of the most noteworthy aspects of Project Morpheus is how comfortable it is. As it turns out, this VR headset doesn’t strap on to your head like other similar products. Instead, the whole weight of Project Morpheus is supported by the top of your head, which will definitely help with comfort; especially in prolonged usage.

Project Morpheus will be launched in the first half of 2016. Unfortunately, price and availability of this VR headset have not been announced yet. With the release date a whole year away, it’s a good time as any to start saving up.
