If you’re intrigued by how well the Asus Zenfone 5 did in our budget Android smartphone shootout, you can now get the RM599 device from DiGi for free when you sign up for a contract under the telco’s postpaid plan.
DiGi is offering the Zenfone 5 with its DG Smart Plan 78 that comes with 3GB of data, 100 minutes of free calls and 100 free SMS. Available immediately on the telco’s online store, you’re required to sign up for a 24 months contract with the plan.
The Zenfone 5 is a mid-range Android smartphone from Asus that features a 5” 720p display equipped with the company’s own GloveTouch and PenTouch technologies. Powered by a 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z2560 dual-core quad-threading processor, it has 2GB of RAM on board and 16GB of expandable storage. Other specs include an 8MP rear camera with PixelMaster technology, 2MP front camera, ZenUI based on Android 4.3 (upgradable to Android 4.4), and a 2110mAh built-in battery.
