According to Nokia Developer’s website, approximately 75% of Android apps are able to run on the new Nokia X family of devices without any modification. We don’t know whether that holds true for this particular app but behold: we have spotted a Nokia X+ running Nova Launcher right at Nokia’s MWC 14 booth in Barcelona.
According to Pang, our man in Barcelona, nobody seems to know who was actually responsible for installing the Nova Launcher on this particular Nokia X+. Hence, we are now trying to dig for more information regarding this unit.
Nevertheless, we believe many users out there are keen of running Nova on their Nokia X given the launcher’s popularity among Android users. What say you?
UPDATE [320AM]: Pang’s effort to obtain more information regarding the unit proved to be fruitless but he did sent us couple more photos of Nova Launcher running on the Nokia X+ and a screen shot of the CPU Identifier app on the phone that showed its technical specifications. You can see that several elements such as drop down menu, settings, and about section of the device remains the same as Nokia X’s native UI.
