Local carrier DiGi has announced via its Facebook page that some of its transmission equipment in Kuala Lumpur has been vandalised. In a quick statement with a photo posted on its Facebook page, the damaged equipment is causing transmission issues around Hartamas, Damansara as well as areas around KL city centre. The telco did mention that its team is in the process of restoring service to the affected areas.
A quick check on some DiGi users in KL did not reveal any issues with both data and voice, however. Do give us a shout out if you’re in an affected area!
