There was a collective sigh of relieve as millions around the world finally got their voices back, their online voices that is – on Facebook. Earlier today, there were moans and groans across cyberspace as status updates, photo uploads as well as a few other features on the social network giant returned errors. Moans and groans that oddly enough was voiced through rival micro-blogging site Twitter.
A post on the Facebook Developer page confirmed the issue.
“Earlier this morning, while performing some network maintenance, we experienced an issue that prevented some users from posting to Facebook for a brief period of time. We resolved the issue quickly, and we are now back to 100%. We’re sorry for any inconvenience we may have caused.”
Unconfirmed reports showed a 150% increase in productivity across the globe during the brief downtime as millions of Facebook users found alternative means of keeping themselves occupied.
