Its imminent arrival in Malaysia is already quite apparent thanks to a recent promo by Thunder Match and its appearance on SIRIM’s database but today, Samsung Malaysia has finally made it official: the Samsung Ativ S Windows Phone 8 smartphone is now officially available in our market. Even though the Samsung Ativ S is technically the first Windows Phone 8 device to be officially revealed to the world back in August last year, Samsung certainly took their own sweet time to release it in Malaysia.
Hardware-wise, the Samsung Ativ S is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8960 chipset (the same on in HTC 8X and Nokia Lumia 920) which features a 1.5GHz dual-core Krait CPU and Adreno 225 GPU. Completing the hardware package are 4.8-inch Super AMOLED display with 1280×720 graphics resolution and pixel density of 306ppi as well as 1GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage, 8-megapixels rear camera, 1.2-megapixels front-facing camera and 2300mAh battery.
