It appears that Google might be working on a note-taking app called Google Keep. Not too long ago, Android Police spotted the mysterious Google Keep service at http://drive.google.com/keep. The page has since been removed, but fortunately, Android Police managed to get a very brief hands-on session along with several screenshots. According to the post, Google Keep is similar to Google Notebook service that was axed several years ago, as well as Evernote. You can color-code notes, save pictures and make a checklist with Google Keep before archiving them up. More pictures available at our source links.
This is not the first time Google Keep made an appearance, last year, a screenshot showing an option to “save to Google Keep” popped up in the Google’s official Google+ account and of course, was swiftly removed just moments later.
If it’s true that Google is indeed working on its very own note-taking app, the search giant might unveil it in its upcoming Google I/O event happening later this year.
