On the iPhone, Tweetbot is my favorite twitter client bar none. Granted, there is a price tag on it, but I think Tweetbot gives a very good mobile Twitter experience as opposed to the terrible official client on the iPhone. Today, Tweetbot announced the alpha version of their popular iOS client is now available for Mac. As excited as I am for an option to dethrone my desktop client of choice (Yellow Icon Tweetdeck for the curious), Tweetbot does give a very minimalistic option for those who are not too keen on the multi column view that Tweetdeck has. The down side is for now it won’t tap into the Notification Centre in Mountain Lion until it becomes official.
Tweetbot looks like a very simple approach to a desktop twitter client, but for now, I’ll stick to my TweetDeck for multi column goodness. If you want to give it a go for yourself, you can head on over to TapBots blog and see where you can download the Alpha for yourself.
