ChatSim

It looks like ChatSim, the €10 SIM card that gives you unlimited messaging around the world, is officially coming to Malaysia. Extrovest Group just announced that they have signed an agreement with Zeromobiles.r.l to be its sole distributor in Malaysia. This means that in the near future, you would be able to purchase a ChatSim from DirectD Retail & Wholesale Sdn. Bhd.

ChatSim is the first ever SIM card that offers free unlimited messaging around the world. It was initially known as WhatSim and offered unlimited text messaging on WhatsApp around the world. However, just last month, they changed their name to ChatSim, and now offers unlimited messaging on any mobile messaging platforms including WhatsApp, WeChat, Skype, QQ, Viber, Line, Kakao Talk, Telegram, Snapchat, iMessage, Twitter, Hangouts, Facebook Messenger and such. ChatSim says that its free unlimited messaging is available on “all other apps for smartphones and tablets”.

ChatSim was previously available for sale only on ChatSim’s official website. It costs €10 with one year validity and if you would like them to ship it to Malaysia, you’ll need to pay extra shipping charges and wait up to 15 days for it to reach your doorstep. With this new partnership, all you need to do is visit a DirectD outlet and get one when it becomes available.

Do note that ChatSim only offers free unlimited chat for text messages. Multimedia messages such as pictures, videos, audio clips and such will be charged depending on your file size. Check out our previous post to see the rates.

ChatSim may not be cheap if you’re using it solely in Malaysia, but if you’re someone who travels around frequently, it’s the perfect data SIM card to keep you connected to friends and family all the time.

DirectD says that the will announce the pricing and availability soon, so stay tuned as we keep you updated.
