In addition to the earlier announcement for the ASUS Zenbook Touch, ASUS Malaysia has also announced the availability of its latest tablet in the MeMO Pad series, the MeMO Pad Smart 10. As the larger sibling to the original MeMO Pad, which we previewed at an ASUS event at the end of January.
The new MeMO Pad Smart 10 sports a 10.1-inch LED IPS multi-touch screen with a resolution of 1280 x 800. Instead of the Wondermedia chipset powering the smaller MeMO Pad, the MeMO Pad Smart 10 goes for a powerful NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core 1.2GHz processor with 1GB of RAM. Also, there is 16GB of flash storage, which is complemented by 5GB of lifetime ASUS Webstorage space, and a microSD card slot.
The 580g tablet also features a 5MP rear camera and a 1.2MP front-facing module, as well as stereo speakers. Also, there is space for a micro USB port, headphone/mic combo port and a micro HDMI port.
The ASUS MeMO Pad Smart 10 will run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, and will be available in Crystal White, Midnight Blue and Fuchsia Pink (coming soon). It will retail for RM1099, and will come with a one-year global warranty. For a list of retailers offering the MeMO Pad Smart 10 now, download the list of retailers here. whats the price for this device??
Save a little more and get the a tegra 3 Nexus 7.. Sad to say, this particular device have got almost 0% Android development. No custom ROMs, no custom kernels..
Sad to say.. It’s best to avoid this particular device because it has practically 0% Android development. Better to save a little more and the Nexus 7.
