Back in April, Infinix debuted its Smart 20 smartphone in Malaysia, an entry-level device that features a slim build. Now, it’s often safe to assume that these sorts of devices won’t see any variations, but that isn’t the case with this model, as a recent leak points to Smart 20E now in the works. And we have good reason to believe this leak, as this recent smartphone was just spotted on SIRIM’s database.
Per the database, the device received its certification a few weeks ago, back on 22 September, carrying the model number X6843B. While the company has yet to confirm anything at the time of writing, this listing hints that the device might be launching soon. Of course, when exactly said launch is happening is anyone’s guess right now.

Now, the leak came from Android Arena, which claims to have obtained alleged specs and supposed official renders of the device. Based on the report, the device seems to be a leaner version of Smart 20. That said, some details are still missing.
Diving into the specs, the Smart 20E allegedly has a 6.78-inch HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. In terms of its body and form factor, the device reportedly weighs 187g and is 8.25mm thick with an IP64 resistance rating. While the resistance rating is the same as its predecessor, it’s a lot thicker compared to the original’s 7.7mm body.

The report says that the device will be running on a specified Unisoc or MediaTek Helio chipset. Further, the company has allegedly paired the supposed SoC with LPDDR4X RAM and eMMC 5.1 storage. In terms of configurations, there are only two, which are 4GB + 128GB and 6GB + 128GB.
Powering the device is a 5,100mAh cell that supports 10W wired charging. As for the OS, it will run on the company’s own XOS skin. Other details include NFC and Bluetooth 5.2. Unfortunately, the report has no information regarding the device’s imaging capabilities.

As mentioned earlier, Android Arena has allegedly secured official renders of the device along with its colourway. The images showcased the handset in four colours: Glacier, Burgundy, Black, and Silver.
With all that said, do keep in mind that, while it’s on SIRIM’s data and supposed images of the Smart 20E have appeared, most of the detail discussed today is still based on leaks. As such, it’s best to err on the side of caution and take what you’ve read here today with a grain of salt. If the device is indeed true, Infinix should be announcing it relatively soon.
