The vivo X Fold6 was launched in its home market at the end of June, but it has not made any further appearances since. That may change once the new quarter rolls around, as a leakster claims that that’s when the phone will be getting its global debut. The leakster also says that the international version will not be getting the 16GB + 1TB configuration that the Chinese market got.
This comes via @yabishekhd on X, who claims that the vivo X Fold6 will get its global launch on 1 October, and then in India specifically on 6 October. He also mentions that the available configurations are 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB. Colour options are similarly limited to “Prism Black” and “Nebula Teal”. Notably though, the leakster says that the international version of the phone will be launching with the new OriginOS 7, rather than OriginOS 6 that the Chinese model launched with.
Based on the Chinese version of the phone, the vivo X Fold6 has a 6.51-inch cover display, and an 8.02-inch main screen. Both use AMOLED panels, featuring a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 5,000 nits. Inside, it packs a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chipset, a 7,000 mAh battery that supports 80W wired and 40W wireless charging, and an IP69 rating. Beyond its own set of 200MP main + 50MP wide-angle + 50MP 3x periscope zoom cameras, it also supports the ZEISS Teleconverter G2 kit.
With the device already in the SIRIM database, the local launch of the vivo X Fold6 is more a matter of when rather than if. That being said, exactly when that will happen remains up in the air. It’s worth noting that the X500 Pro line, which launched much later in China, is currently slated for a Malaysian launch in late October, barring any issues at the back end.
