OPPO is currently gearing up to release the next generation of its flagship smartphone lineup. After announcing that the Find X10 series will be launching in China next week, the brand has confirmed that at least one of the devices in the series will be heading to international markets. To be more specific, the Find X10 Pro Max is set to make its global debut sometime in the near future.
For now, though, the phone maker has not revealed the launch date for the device. However, the company has disclosed one particular detail about the phone, which is its chipset. And as it turns out, the chip is as previous leaks have predicted: the MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro. According to OPPO, the Find X10 Pro Max will be among the first devices to equip this processor.
The brand’s announcement went on to highlight a few qualities of the SoC. Built on TSMC’s advanced 2nm N2P process, it promises up to a 61% improvement in CPU multi-core energy efficiency compared to its precursor. The chip also continues MediaTek’s All-Big-Core architecture, albeit with a new configuration comprising two 4.55GHz C2-Ultra cores and six performance cores. This design offers an overall performance improvement of 17%. For graphics, the SoC employs a G2-Ultra NX GPU, which introduces enhanced ray tracing and new neural graphics capabilities. This GPU delivers approximately 27% higher performance under heavy workloads.
Naturally, AI capabilities continue to be a priority, with a dual-NPU design that combines a powerful NPU with a Super-Efficient NPU. The former promises 51% faster LLM prefill performance, supporting tasks like large-model inference and computational imaging. On the other hand, the latter offers 40% more power efficiency, allowing for more responsive AI functions.
Looking beyond hardware, the Find X10 Pro Max will also debut with OPPO’s Laminar Flow Engine, which was jointly developed with MediaTek. According to the phone maker, this platform balances ultra-smooth system responsiveness with low power consumption, while also accelerating app launches and maintaining smooth and stable content loading during demanding scenarios.
As for any other specifics, the brand has previously revealed some details on its imaging system. As with the past iterations of the Find X series, the new model will benefit from the company’s longstanding partnership with Hasselblad. As such, it will come with a new “Hasselblad Ultra-Clear Native Camera”, which will deliver clearer images with accurate colours. This gets paired with OPPO’s own LUMO colour science for more realistic skin tones. As for the cameras themselves, the phone will feature a triple 200MP lens setup on the rear.
Other details on the smartphone remain under wraps for now. But with the China launch not too far ahead, we can expect to learn more very soon. And as to when the device will make its way out of its home market, that will be revealed later on.
