The Sony Xperia 10 VIII has now appeared in an allegedly official image shared by Android Headlines. While previous leaks have hinted that the mid-range model could retain much of the same hardware as its predecessor, this latest leak suggests that its design may also remain largely unchanged.
In the lone photo, the Xperia 10 VIII is shown with a dual-camera setup on the rear, housed within a horizontally aligned camera island that also features the Sony logo. The right side of the frame houses the volume rocker and power button, with the latter potentially doubling as a fingerprint scanner like on last year’s model.

It remains unclear whether the phone will retain the physical camera shutter button found on the Xperia 10 VII. The USB-C port and 3.5mm headphone jack are also not visible in the image, although both could still be retained at the bottom of the device.
Unfortunately, the front of the phone is not shown, so we are still left in the dark about any changes to its display or overall front profile. For reference, the Xperia 10 VII features a 6.1-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a 1,080 x 2,340-pixel resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.
In terms of internal hardware, a recent Geekbench listing revealed that the Xperia 10 VIII runs on a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, which is the same platform used by its predecessor. The listing also points to 8GB of RAM and Android 16, although other specifications remain unconfirmed.
Details such as its storage capacity, battery size and camera specifications are still unknown at this time. We should not have to wait much longer, however, as Sony is scheduled to officially unveil the Xperia 10 VIII on 25 August 2026 at 11AM Japan time, or 10AM in Malaysia.

Meanwhile, Sony launched the flagship Xperia 1 VIII in Malaysia earlier this month. It features a 6.5-inch 120Hz LTPO OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, 12GB of RAM, 256GB storage and a 5,000mAh battery, along with a triple 48MP rear camera system. The Xperia 1 VIII is priced at RM6,499 in Malaysia.
