The nubia A77 5G has officially launched in Malaysia as the brand’s newest addition to its smartphone lineup. Conceived as an accessible 5G-enabled device, it features a sleek yet durable design and a selection of everyday AI-driven features.
Starting with the exterior, the new handset sports a 6.75-inch HD+ waterdrop display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Like many other modern phones, its screen incorporates some form of wet touch technology, so users can handle the device with damp or oily hands. Other than that, it comes with an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance. Also on board is a 3.5mm headphone jack and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security.
Under the hood, the company has equipped the A77 with a Unisoc T8300 Ultimate processor. The chipset is paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. For those who need more space, a microSD slot is available, allowing up to 2TB expansion. Meanwhile, a 5,000mAh battery keeps the phone powered. This cell supports 22.5W wired charging and bypass charging. Connectivity features include dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and nubia LinkFree.
On the software side, it runs on Android 16. As mentioned earlier, the device comes with AI features. These include the usual Circle to Search and AI Translate functions, plus tools for generating wallpapers, image captions, and message replies. Other than that, there is an AI Memory feature for saving and organising information. For calls, it gets noise cancellation capabilities and scam detection.
As for its imaging system, the phone features what the brand is calling the 50MP AI Dual Camera setup on the rear. Meanwhile, the front is equipped with an 8MP selfie snapper. One of the standout features of the camera system is Multi-Camera Simultaneous Recording, which lets the phone record footage from both perspectives at the same time.
The nubia A77 5G comes in a single Obsidian Black finish. The phone is now available for a suggested retail price of RM1,099. At the moment, those interested in getting the device can do so either through the Unifi Store or its online counterpart. Additionally, the device will be available via Maxis from the end of the month.
