Halloween 2025 has come and gone, but it looks like Kojima Productions didn’t get the memo. The studio recently collaborated with Beijing-based Dnsys to create a special Death Stranding 2-themed exoskeleton. Yeap, for real.
Ok, so, to be fair, neither Kojima Productions nor Dnsys actually made a brand new exoskeleton from scratch. Officially known as the Death Stranding 2 On The Beach Limited Edition, this mobility apparatus is made from an already existing model called the Dnsys Z1 Exoskeleton Pro.
What sets this model apart from the standard unit is the colour palettes that are applied to it. Yoji Shinkawa, Kojima Productions’ legendary art director, is reported to have worked with Dnsys on the design. Basically, the same tones and colours that you see on the exoskeleton worn by Sam Porter.
Performance-wise, and the Death Stranding 2 theme notwithstanding, the Z1 Exoskeleton Pro supposedly mimics the game’s load-balancing system, offloading up to 200% of the wearer’s body weight to their knees. Dnsys also says that it adds 50% more power to steps, has “intelligent gait control” for improved balance on stairs and uneven terrain. “You’ll instantly feel up to 44lbs (20kg) lighter during vertical movements”, as per Dnsys’ press release.

Dnsys also says that the battery life of the Z1 Exoskeleton Pro offers four hours of continuous support and even comes with a quick-swap battery system.
The Death Stranding 2 On The Beach Limited Edition exoskeleton will be available starting 2 December, with its pricing to be announced then. The standard edition is priced at US$1,500 (~RM6,223), so you can imagine that the special edition model will cost considerably more.
