The MyDigital ID has been integrated into many services, public service-linked or otherwise. A new one will soon be added to the list, which is the National Higher Education Funds Corporation (PTPTN). A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between it and MyDigital ID Sdn Bhd has recently been signed to integrate the latter into myPTPTN applications.
Bernama cites PTPTN chair Norliza Abdul Rahim as saying that the move is to enhance efficiency and improve user experience in accessing online services. She ads that the collaboration also demonstrates PTPTN’s commitment to becoming a progressive and customer-friendly digital organisation that is in line with the country’s digitalisation agenda.

In practice, this means that new users will have to first sign up for their MyDigital ID before opening a myPTPTN account. Old users can continue logging in using older methods, but are encouraged to switch to the MyDIgital ID as the safer alternative. And for those who failed the eKYC step during past myPTPTN applications, the use of the MyDigital ID is a way to get access.
As mentioned earlier, the use of MyDigital ID is becoming broader. In more and more instances, it is also becoming the only option. The list includes the MyBayar PDRM and MyJPJ apps, as well as prepaid SIM card registrations.
