Carabat AI, a homegrown smart lifestyle solutions provider, has recently launched its first customer experience outlet at Sunway Avila Avenue, Wangsa Maju. Officiating the the opening ceremony yesterday was Datuk Johan Pahlawan Lela Perkasa Sitiawan Datuk Muhammed Abdullah.
The new outlet serves as an interactive space for visitors to explore a variety of AI-powered home and lifestyle technologies. Prior to this, Carabat AI mostly conducted its business online, through its website as well as authorised e-commerce platforms. During the launch, the company unveiled its flagship range of smart home and kitchen appliances, which integrate seamlessly with its proprietary Astana App.
Developed in-house, the Astana App acts as the central platform of Carabat AI’s ecosystem, allowing users to automate, monitor, and personalise a wide range of devices, including air solutions, smart switches, home and kitchen appliances, as well as security and CCTV systems. The app, available for both iOS and Android, was designed to address the common issue of managing multiple devices that often require separate applications.
Carabat AI CEO Shafiq Jailani said the company’s products are developed locally with Malaysian consumers in mind but adhere to international standards. He added that research and development activities are entirely conducted in Malaysia, while manufacturing takes place in China to maintain affordability and efficiency.
The company also announced ambitious expansion plans, targeting 15 experience outlets nationwide by the end of this year, growing to about 50 by the end of 2026, and potentially reaching 150 by 2028. Of these, roughly 30 are planned for Sabah, with additional locations in Sarawak. Aside from Wangsa Maju, new outlets in Sri Hartamas, Penang, and Kota Bharu were launched simultaneously, with more to follow in Wisma Sabah, Seremban 2, and Subang by November.
According to Carabat AI marketing manager Perakash Nair, the expansion aims to strengthen the company’s presence across major Malaysian cities and make smart living solutions accessible to the mass market. Beyond home appliances, it also markets other smart devices such as wearables, smart glasses, and charging solutions through its subsidiary brands Exvix and NURAIV. All these products are available for hands-on experience and purchase at the company’s newly opened outlets.
