Little over a week after the local launch of the Arctis Nova Elite, SteelSeries is announcing a refreshed version of its Nova 7 Wireless headphones. Aptly named the Arctis Nova 7 Wireless Gen 2, these over-ears feature improved battery life while still maintaining a mid-range price point.
The Nova 7 Wireless Gen 2 features 40mm neodymium magnetic drivers for better overall sound quality and spatial audio, but doesn’t feature active noise cancelling (ANC) or swappable batteries. It delivers audio via Bluetooth 5.0, 2.4GHz wireless USB-C dongle, or both.
It’s worth mentioning that the included dongle allows the Nova 7 Wireless Gen 2 to connect to various devices outside of PC and mobile, including the Nintendo Switch 1 and Switch 2, PS4, PS5, and Meta Quest 2 and Quest 3. The headset also supports real-time audio control through the respective mobile app, which includes over 200 presets for a wide range of games.
Through the PC equivalent app, the headset can automatically switch audio presets depending on what game they are playing. In that same vein, Nova 7 Wireless Gen 2 allows users to connect both PC and mobile simultaneously, allowing users to hear the game on one device while being on a call with another.

As for the retractable mic, the official website states that it can reduce unnecessary noise, like keyboard clicks and unwanted chatter, with AI. It even has its own EQ presets that let users control how they sound.
According to SteelSeries, the upgraded battery offers up to 54 hours of playback on a single charge through the 2.4GHz wireless. Battery life drops to 42 hours with Bluetooth or down to 38 hours with 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth. A 15-minute charge through USB-C is enough to provide up to six hours of playtime.

The SteelSeries Nova 7 Wireless Gen 2 is available in three colours (black, white, and magenta) and is priced at US$199.99 (~RM845). There is no local pricing or availability at the time of writing.
